CARS

On my way to work, i realised how EVERYONE here has A car or CARS...
so far 2 cars per family is a norm... 3's more well to do...
Today, i saw a few families with FIVE cars i their house..
Goodness gracious... can you imagine? Goes to show how much land space they own in their houses... Then again, car is cheap here and everyone just gets them without thinkin too much... and seriously, they haven't got much to spend on.. Not as many properties to invest on, compared to Singapore.. Not that techy, few pubs, only 1 movie theatre, lesser coffee joints, nothin much to shop for, so basically very self-satisfied little state...

And then i recall my friend, who went car huntin for a day n decided against it coz of financial reasons... I guess unless you have the spare cash, it doesn't seem wise to invest in something that ONLY depreciates.. and we contemplated sharin (some or in fact quite a few of my colleagues suggested that to me), but we thought, better not... the many complications that come with it, may create other unforeseen problems.. unless they can come to an agreement... Hence, NO CAR...

Frankly, i'm still somewhat disturbed by the piece of news learnt yesterday.. i dread to know who else knows of this piece of news and at the same time, i just cant believe my friend's pregnant that's all... coz when we graduated, i really didn't see this comin as she was single and VERY available.. in a short span of 2 years or so, she got happily married and is gonna be a MUM... WOW! i mean women nowadays have kids later.. but she's only 26... sometimes i admire them for havin the courage and foresight to start a family so soon coz i dont think i'll be ready for this at all...... i thought i was, but i'm losin it.. haha

ok, yesterday my boss from SIN came over and i had big seafood lunch and dinner... haha, went for the famous curry fishhead and it was ridiculous coz they ordered ANOTHER big fish, together with salted egg crab, steamed prawns, clams, vege and rice.. that was dinner.. LUNCH, we had FISH AS WELL, oysters, chicken and fried rice...
Such a fulfillin day... plus i went to do my grocery shoppin..
Got quite a bit done...

It's 21st.. i REALLY hope for 1st September to come... coz it'll mean that i've been here for 1 month and that he's gonna be done with the stressful tests... for now at least...

GOOD LUCK! =)
